I am Hikmat Bahadur Thapa from Far western, Nepal, Achham. I was
borne in 1967. My early education was at Tikapur, kailali. I passed SLC in 1984 and joined Mahendra Multiple campus,Nepalgunj
for study Intermediate in Science. I joined Central Campus of Technology in 1986. I graduated
in Food Technology from Central Campus of Technology, TU, Dharan in 1991. I started
my professional carrier by joining
Nirvan Vanaspati Ghee Industries Pvt. Ltd as a Technical Officer. Latter I joined
the General Food Industries Pvt. Ltd, manufacturer of YUM YUM instant noodle. I served GFI more then ten years in the capacity
of Factory Manager then General Manager. During this tenure I got the opportunity for training about instant noodle manufacturing
in Wan Thai Food Industries Co. Ltd , Bangkok, Thailand . Similarly, I trained in Nestle Moga Factory India Ltd about Maggi 2 Minute Noodle production. I was an in charge of Co-manufacturing
of noodles for Nestle India Ltd at GFI for about three years. I also attended the Palm oil Familiarization Programme 2000 in Malaysia organized by Malaysian Palm Oil Board. I have attended several national
and international workshops related to Food and allied industries. I have so
many patent of instant noodles brand in my credit.
I joined Multi Food Industries Pvt. Ltd. as General Manager in 2003, where
I was given overall responsibility of Production, Finance, administration ,Sales
and Marketing. Currently I am affiliated to HP Agrawal group of company’s
as General Manager of its Consumer Product Division. I am looking
after the technical and marketing
management of the Shree Krishna Oil and Refinery, Shree Ram Khadhya
Udhyog, and Megha Soap and Chemical Industries, of this group. I am also involving
on the new instant noodle project of the group. Beside my company’s responsibilities,
I have been serving as a consultant
in several food processing industries.
I have been actively involving in Food Processing Industries since past 14 years .During
this professional carrier I worked at a different capacities like Technical Officer, Production Manager, Factory Manager
and General Manager too. These long professional experiences have boosted by my technical and
managerial capabilities as well as Sales and Marketing of FMCG products
in Nepal I want to utilize my expertise in this sector in future ahead.
Besides Professional activities , I have been involving
in several social activities .I had already served as a General Secretary of amnesty international Nepal and Nepal Food Scientists
and Technologists association. I also served as an executive member of Ratnanagar
Chamber of commerce and Industries. I am also life member of Association of Food Scientists and Technologist, India. Currently
I am Chair person of Food Information and Action Network, Nepal Section. Beside these I am also involve more then dozen national and international organizations.
I got married with Man Bista in 1998 .We have
gifted with one daughter Suravi and one son Suhim.
